igital Logistic Services signs a new installation on the logistics site of Auchan in Saint-Sauveur near Amiens.
The system is composed of 2 touch terminals, 1 waiting screen (“airport” type) to inform delivery drivers in real time, 2 license plate sensors with back-up keypads (for entry and exit), 2 display screens at the dock and finally, several control screens close to the self-service docks for forklift drivers.
The aim of the project was to optimize the management of goods loads by helping to reduce the number of truck movements between several docks, thus reducing the costs associated with the operations required each time a trailer is assigned to a door. In this context, together with the Auchan project team, we have activated a mechanism to warn the operating personnel in order to anticipate the rolling operations necessary to group the goods in the warehouse as close as possible to the trailer to be loaded.
A first for this type of application!
